Our approach to care

We understand that everyone’s needs are different. Following an initial assessment by a psychiatrist, our team will tailor a treatment plan that is right for you.

Your mental health treatment plan may include an inpatient admission, group therapy, pharmacological therapies, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS)Esketamine Treatment, individual support from a psychiatrist or our Allied Health team or ongoing support in the community through our day programs.

You’ll have access to a multidisciplinary team of mental health experts including psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, social workers.

We offer many of our services as both inpatient and outpatient options, allowing individuals to receive treatment that fits their schedules.

What does an inpatient program or treatment involve?

If you’re living with a mental health condition or addictive behaviour and need more intensive support, a hospital stay - also known as an inpatient admission - may be suitable for you.

An inpatient admission provides you with round-the-clock care, time away from your usual living situation and the space and support needed for you to focus on your recovery.

For some, this can seem daunting, however our friendly, experienced team is welcoming on arrival and ensures that everyone feels safe and supported throughout their stay.

The Sydney Clinic offers a range of mental health and addiction inpatient programs with care tailored to individual needs. Our inpatient programs are evidence-based and include one-to-one and group-based therapy delivered by qualified, skilled mental health professionals.

Your doctor will determine which programs and treatments are right for you.

Ongoing support through day programs

Day programs are structured, group-based therapy available to people living with a mental health condition in the community. Facilitated by mental health clinicians, sessions are generally held weekly onsite and include a small group of participants that may be experiencing something similar to you. Our facilitators ensure that group participants are provided with a safe and supportive environment to maximise their recovery.

If you’ve been staying with us as an inpatient, your healthcare team may talk to you about accessing ongoing support post-discharge through our day programs.

Day programs are open to anyone experiencing mental health challenges that need a bit of extra support, you do not need to have had a hospital stay with us to attend our day programs.
